Menka Project S17

This was my first time designing for the Menka Project. International textile designers are chosen annually to create an innovative collection for Isetan stores throughout Tokyo, Japan. I created a pineapple print for the Japanese customer for Spring 2017 and also developed an embroidery application to accompany it. I helped launch the collection by flying solo over to Japan and taking part in a live drawing installation. I had a chance to meet the buyers, explore the culture and participate in the Japanese retail experience. I stayed for two weeks.
