Art Direction + Photography + Textile Design

About

Creativity is limitless. There are no rules or boundaries. You can find me behind the lens, creating textiles or bringing together a team to execute a vision. I love all parts of the process.

After living in Vancouver for the past 10 years, Nadine recently moved to Toronto. She is a visual artist specializing in textile design, illustration and photography. Nadine grew up in rural Ontario and was exposed to a wide range of art and design from a young age. Her father was a professor at the Ontario College of Art and Design, her mother a former art teacher, and both older sister’s, also creatives. Many weekends were spent exploring museums and art galleries. At the age of 14, Nadine was assisting after school art programs, teaching the pottery wheel and working with stained glass. Her love of design continued when she graduated from Ryerson University in Toronto, with a Bachelor of Design in Fashion Communications. She relocated from Toronto to Vancouver in 2012 after accepting a design role at lululemon.

For the past 10 years she has been growing her own freelance business. She supports her clients with art direction, campaign photography, branding, and textile design. She was also the founder of Studio 202 in Toronto’s Corktown district- a lifestyle and fashion portrait, coworking space. She enjoys all aspects of creating.

In addition to contract work, Nadine sells her own illustrated products through her online store. As a lover of music, pop culture and technology, she is constantly inspired by people and places. Nadine’s style is often detailed, visually balanced, and grounded in a pastel palette. She is not a minimalist by nature and loves to explore detail and textures to enhance what she is creating.

You can often find her skiing, vintage shopping, or spending time with her new baby boy, her latest and greatest co-creation.

As a commercial designer, Nadine can work effectively in all styles and has been trained to adapt to brands’ specific needs. She designs from Toronto’s creative hub, Eastroom, and from her home in Caledon.

Please reach out to Nadine for any inquiries regarding international shipping, collaborations, or custom artworks. She is always open to working with and making requests happen.
